Wreck-it Ralph Headcanon Thingy IDK

Okay, so as most of us know from Sonic’s exposition; if you die outside your game, you don’t regenerate. But what does that mean for the game they come from? Are the other characters from that game condemned to homelessness because one of them dies? I personally don’t think so.

What I believe happens is: the character’s coding goes back to the game it originated from, but with his/her/its self-awareness irreversibly turned off. After the arcade closes down for the night, the “ghost” disappears in a flash of coding, much like a combination of glitching and a localized form of unplugging; this information is distributed to games on a need-to-know basis, because the older games realize how traumatic this news could be to denizens of newer games… and newer games are deterred well enough from doing dangerous things outside their game due to not desiring their own elimination.

Attempting to converse with a “ghost” character during a slow day would only lead to responses that are entirely in their “character”; for example, a “ghost” Ralph would be rude and angry for the sole reason of his stump being moved and not remember any of his after-hours adventures with Felix, much less Bad Anon, Vanellope, or Calhoun. I could understand this headcanon upsetting people, because even I see this as very traumatizing for characters in a game with a “ghost”…

Personally I think it is

Jake: Page of ____

Jane: ____ of Hope

And Jane goes missing. Therefore she is Lost. 

Hope is lost]

My guess: Jake is the Page of Space, and this is from the alternate timeline which either Stridersprite or Lalondesprite will come from. SO predictable.
