It’s not brute strength, even though some humans are very strong. It’s not any sort of power, even though some humans hold a fair bit of power over others. It’s not intelligence, even though some people are very smart. It’s neither kindness nor cruelty, even though humans can be graciously altruistic or ferociously self-centered. It’s not even our ability to have a fair balance of all of these.

It’s our creativity and wit, especially when directed into infinitely evolving and redefining the language we speak and its context. Not even five years ago, if you had called someone “fat, nasty trash,” that person would take serious offense; now because someone popularized it, it’s only a joke. 9,001 was just another number before Dragon Ball Z. So many people have seen that they aren’t the only one who feels a certain way about something since the creation of the Internet.

I don’t know; I just feel so proud to be a part of such an inventive generation, however small.
